Director Statement

When I wrote the script at first, the idea of leaving my country was a plan for me due to the tough economic and financial crisis we are suffering from. Everything seems to diminish and to break down in a moment where we as youth were full of dreams and ambitions.
The clock stopped in the 4th of August at 6:07 P.M: we couldn’t think and reflect. The heartbeats stopped, the scene looked like tragedy and we were in a complete shock. Everything happening in my Beirut affected me, my creativity and the process of my film. I took the decision to rewrite, to redirect, and to rethink about what I want to say from this film. I turned my pain and my experience of that day into images. I turned the photos in my head and my shaking thoughts into frames.
This was for me to heal, and for everyone to see what happened to us after the Beirut Blast.
