Jonathan Gonzales is an independent student filmmaker from the University of Texas at El Paso. Jonathan has directed, written, & edited several award winning short films & also done work for feature documentaries as an assistant editor & camera assistant. Jonathan's goal is to get his foot in the door of the professional industry as either a director, writer, editor, or all 3. Jonathan tries to tell stories about complex situations to show different perspectives & humanity in different types of people. Jonathan is currently working on several scripts & is planning to co-direct a short film titled "Mia" about a girl who's mother is deported at a young age & as a result suffers from depression but tries to channel her feelings to pursue her dream of attending Julliard.
There's nothing greater than having an idea come to life & shared with the rest of the world. That's the beauty of filmmaking.
