Soporose
Soporose is a surreal drama in the point of view of a man in a coma watching his fiancée start to move on with her life as he may never wake up.
The film flips between the real world and the dream world of Eli's mind - a forest. We see Ava keep coming to see him, talking to him. Eli can hear her through his dreams and feels her starting to grow distant. As she begins to drift away Eli chases her through the forest as she slips behind trees, constantly disappearing.
This journey through the forest is one of desperation and realisation.

Edward Hendry Browne is a 19 year old aspiring writer-director from Warrington, Cheshire currently living in London.
Edward has been making films from the age of 5, starting with lego and clay stop animation films. As he grew up he began to make various action films, experimenting with basic special effects and learning more about narrative.
At the age of 14 he realised that this is something he wanted to do as a career. Ever since then he has been working towards that goal and his films have become darker, weirder and more sophisticated.
He values team work and collaboration, seeing that as the most essential part of any production and is always eager to learn from those around him.
Soporose is my first student film I have made whilst being at Met Film School in Ealing Studios. I wrote the first draft of the script in November 2018 after doing a lot of research into coma's as I am very interested in topics to do with psychology and the mind. I found several interviews with past coma patients and their experiences. I decided to implement stories of 'letting go' from my life and those around me into a situation involving a coma patient.
I am really happy with the project and very proud of the cast and crew for their amazing hard work the project.
I look forward to this hopefully being accepted into festivals and being shown to a wider audience.
