Sophia Trout is a senior at Virginia Tech getting her BA in cinema. She's been passionate about telling stories through video since high school and has experience working in journalism until she switched fully to writing, producing, directing, and shooting short films. Her documentary short, "Metamorphosis", secured her the Best Documentary win at the Progeny Short Film Festival in 2020, as well as a Semi-Finalist nomination at the Seven Cities Short Film Showcase. Sophia hopes this jumping-off point brings her even more opportunities to create films that showcase important, entertaining stories. .
