Sonia Stigliano was born in October 1994, in Buenos Aires. She graduated from the Universidad del Cine as a screenwriter. Her work focuses on producing and directing.
In 2019 she was selected to do Lucrecia Martel's film clinic in Barcelona produced by La Selva COOP, in 2021 she was part of the Berlinale Talents BA program and in 2022 she was a jury member of the Cilect Award in the fiction category. She currently works in the development part of REI CINE.
In 2022 her short film "Not My Home" will have its world premiere in the shot international competition of #67 Cork International Film Festival, IRELAND.
Her first short film "Back to Maria" during 2020/21 was selected in festivals in different countries such as Dominican Republic, Spain, Mexico, Ecuador, Uruguay and Argentina. It's available at Cine.AR and Amazon USA/UK.
She is currently developing her feature film "Family Matters" with which she participated in Al ESTELAB - Peru | BioBio Cine - Chile | MAFICI LAB - Argentina. She was also invited to participate as a listener in the laboratory When East Met West in 2022. This project is supported by Mecenazgo Cultural BA 2020, Universidad del Cine and National Arts Fund 2022.
She also works as a producer and assistant director. She has made several projects such as music videos, fashion films, short films and feature films.
