Sondor Boner Koi Katha ( Talking About Sundarbans ) : -
Somdipto Roy, a film director comes to Sundarban to
make a documentary film. Bunches of rivers, mangrove
forest and the people and their life style of the island
serve as inspiration and the point of observation of
the film.

Suddenly, in the background of such a beautiful nature,
Madhu, a son of the soil, appears in front of Somdipto.
Madhu and Somdipto are different by default. Still a
bonding takes place between two. Madhu bring him to his
home. Somdipto starts staying in a thatched hut; Enjoys
food of that area, goes for catching crabs and turtle
along with Madhu and their unconditional friendship
keeps growing.

In such a situation Bishnu comes to inform that the
money Madhu borrowed for his mother's treatment has
to be returned by tomorrow. Madhu can not understand
how to return the money. Somdipto also become anxious
to find out a way.

Bishnu secretly advises Madhu to inform to forest
depertment that 'Sohorer babu' Somdipto has caught a
turtle to pet. Then he will be caught by the depertment
and Madhu will be rewarded with a cash prize eventually.
This is the hidden custom of this island.

Confused Madhu comes to Somdipto's room and see
Somdipto is burning his necessory documents of his
films which is very close to his heart. When Madhu asks
the reason Somdipto gave him a bundle of notes and
advices to repay the money and live peacefully. Madhu
gets shocked, he decides within a second to go to the
forest to throw it (the turtle) away to protect him
'sohoreer babu'.

He leaves his home in the midst of a terrible storm and
enters into the forest. Somdipto waits the whole night.
In the morning Madhu returns as a dead body. A team of
honey collector bring his body to his home.

Somdipto fails to complete his film, but with the memory
of the hero of his story he starts his return journey.
