Son Of A Ditch: a skateboarder's journey
In the early 70s the year urethane wheel was introduced to skateboarding. This made it possible to skate on terrain never before attempted. Skateboard parks did not exist so some early pioneers of the sport went searching the Concrete Jungle for skate-able surfaces. The short film "Son Of A Ditch" Chronicles the early days of ditch skating, featuring Pioneer skateboarder and Dogtown Legend Ray Flores with Tony Alva and Jim Muir.

Hso Hkam was born in Yangoon, Myanmar (also known as Burma), where he is the 19th Saopha of Lawksawk (Shan prince), whose lineage dates back to 1630. He received an athletic scholarship for tennis at the University of Illinois at Chicago and continued his education at UCLA, and received a BFA. Hso had created over 100 video contents/documentaries for LA Weekly publication. His film credits include festival favorite, "Ghostown" and "Ground Bloom Flower" "Fightin'4 the Forty" earned him the Audience Choice Award at the Malibu Film Festival. In 2013, "History is Myth" won best short film at the Other Venice Film Festival. The Association of Alternative Newsmedia awarded "Theotis Beasley: Pro Skate", 1st place Short Form Documentary in 2018. "Hsofilms . LA Weekly . Retrospective" won Best Documentary Film at 2018 Santa Monica International Film Festival. He lives in Venice, California, where he specializes in filmmaking, photography, painting, and drawing.
