Director Biography - Fabrizio Rosso


Fabrizio has been focusing on creating and directing performances, films and pieces of music-theatre. He studied music (piano/composition) at the conservatoires of Turin, Zürich and Lugano and film direction at the USC School of Cinematic Arts, Los Angeles (US).
He collaborated with Karlheinz Stockhausen on several projects including the first ever execution (2004) and the recording of Sonntags-Abschied, the last piece of the LICHT cycle Operas.
In 2005 he collaborated with Sylvano Bussotti on the multimedia version of “SOLO” from the Opera La Passion selon Sade. In 2006 he created, together with singer Luisa Castellani, the show The Wonderful Spring which was put on that same year at the “Piccolo Teatro” of Milano.
He directed and collaborated to create projects in various locations including: Berliner Festspiele, Hangar Bicocca (Milano), Teatro Manzoni (Bologna), Teatro Stabile di Torino, LAC Lugano, Tonhalle Zürich, Biennale Venezia.
The theatrical performance The Extravagancia#0, starring Anahì Traversi, was selected for Schweizer Theatertreffen 2015 and the performance La Forme de l'Ame was selected for Modern Body Festival 2016 The Haugue, Holland.
He directed some short films: Exercises de style, In tempo, Slowly otherwise it will be late, New incessantly endless, NO, Hidden Eyes.
