Director Statement

Creating "Something Clear Unseen" was my attempt to both understand and creatively survive a world changing quickly before my eyes at the time of the break of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Originally inspired to be filmed guerrilla style in Los Angeles during lockdown, this film found its home in St. Louis after I abruptly found myself inspired to leave LA and return home to St. Louis to seek higher ground and process the unravelling of the world at the time. A project that haunted me in its own way, our filming process was fraught with obstacles; with the challenge of seeing it through to completion being just as formidable as it was unforeseen. Almost as if someone, or something, did not want this film to see the light of day. Yet, it lives to speak its haunting truth. May it haunt and speak truth in return to all who may view. Blessings.
