BOTB SHORT FILM FEST created by Socialciti is one of the most popular Independent
Short Film Fest in the UAE since its inception in 2014. Taking place at the most popular venue The Dubai Mall - Reel Cinemas, it attracts Gulf and International Filmmakers alike.

Battle Of The Best – Short Film Fest gives short Filmmakers a lifetime opportunity not just to screen their movie on a Big Screen at the most popular venue but also to showcase their work to Dubai Audience and network with local filmmakers/producers/actors/directors and film enthusiasts in general.

This festival is one of the most sought after platforms for emerging and established filmmakers, to connect with real audiences and bridge the gap between real and reel. A total of 8 shortlisted movies will make it to the finals and will compete with each other at the Film Fest.

BOTB Short Film Festival is known for it's Exquisite and Fine Jury Panel. Only the best from the UAE are handpicked to vote and select the winners for;

Submitted movies will go through a rigorous prescreening process competing with other international submissions. Non-english movies will need to have subtitles and each of these movies will be screened in the UAE for the very first time. We look for movies across genres and languages bringing a different world of experience with them for the UAE audience. The festival is curated in a way that ensures audiences leave the theatre with a good experience and with an appreciation for short and independent movies.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1. Films Completed on or after JANUARY 2018.
2. All entries must be in English or subtitled in English
3. Films should not have been screened publicly.
4. Films must not have been entirely or partially broadcasted and/or made available on television, internet/social media, mobile phones, apps, streaming platforms and/or any other public domain or viewing platform.
5. Duration of the film should be limited to 15 min (The Film Festival holds the right to provide scope ( of up to 5 min) for creative justice).
6. All Genres of films are accepted.
7. Movies can be made in or outside of UAE.
8. Under production movies are eligible too as long as the abide by the submission date.
9. Producer/Film Maker takes full responsibility of the film which includes the necessary permissions required at the time of making the film.
10. All content/music/images and other material used in the movie are copyright protected
