Director Biography - Morteza Fereidouni

Morteza Fereydoni was born in Shiraz, where he graduated in architecture at the Shiraz University. Since adolescence, alongside architecture he has been seriously pursuing cinema. Due to his interest in film direction and further education, he moved to Tehran and still lives there. Fereydoni was involved in several short film projects as a writer and director consultant. After completing his directing courses under Shahram Mokri and Asghar Farhadi, he made his first short film called Hawaii in September 2020. The film was nominated in different festivals in Iran, ISFA (Iranian Short Film Academy ), Macau and Barcelona and was the winner at 27th IFVA Awards (Hong Kong) and 11th One Take Film Festival (Croatia). Morteza Feridouni was main judge of the competitive section of the 12th One Take Film Festival in 2022 (Zagreb). He made two short films in 2023: Snowy Hot Weather and I Think You Arrived.
