As a choreographer Snježana Premuš deals with the issue of physicality (body image) and the collective body in various ways. She is interested in how somatic principles evolve through the body, its manifestations and possible extensions in different forms of coexistence and organisations. Latest performances and installations (within the dance research project Physical Manifestations) are intriguing spaces of social action, exchange, cooperation and observation focusing on »profound research centred on unevasive, unconscious, relational nature of the body and exploration of any potential corporeal landscapes... Despite or exactly because of such a complex subject matter her choreography is archaeological, primordial, genuine, innovative and also sensual. » (Ksenija Hribar award comitee, 2017 Ljubljana).
Her projects are recognized as demanding spaces of participation that do not submit to representation but go beyond it as a possible model of a different modern society. From 2016 she has published two books and collaborated in direction and production of two short dance films and dance documentary.
