Snail Traveler

Six people with different personalities participated in an immature virtual travel experience for some mysterious reason. However, as the journey progressed, their relationship and attitude towards life changed. In such a seemingly unsuccessful journey, they all gained a new spiritual rejuvenation. At the end of the film, the mysterious reason that bringed the tour group together gradually emerged, which will have bringed another interpretation and enlightenment to this travel story.

Director Biography - 张斌, 张伟杰

Zhang Bin, with Ph.D. is an associate researcher in New Media Research Institute of Communication University of China and master's tutor. He is a visiting scholar of New York Film Academy between 2016 to 2017, a member of the Chinese Theatre Literature Society, a member of Beijing TV Artists Association, Secretary-General of the Jury of Jin Sun Award of Chinese Youth Micro Film Festival. Having long been engaged in new media video creation and radio and television cultural studies, he is the author of New Media Micro Video, Poetry in the Night (Pinyin: Ye Lai Shi Ying), Research of American Film & Television Education and Works, etc. He has undertaken a number of projects about new media video research and national cultural and creative industry, by publishing more than 40 theses in professional academic journals at home and abroad. He has served as an expert judge in China International Micro Film Festival, China Youth Microfilm Competition, Beijing University Student Microfilm Competition, and "Beautiful Village" International Microfilm Art Festival. His instructed students have won several awards in various short films and microfilm competitions across the country .And he have participated in the creation and planning of many domestic and foreign TV dramas and variety shows.
