Great venue, really lovely people running things, and a lot of great shorts to watch. It's a quick fest, but they make it feel like a retro-fun trip to the cinema. I was thrilled to win their screenplay competition for Best Kill.

I'm very happy that my short film won the prize——Twisted Ending award. It's a great film festival and the organizing committee is warm and friendly. It was a pity that I could not attend, but it was a very good experience. Thank you again!

Overall, I think this was a good first outing. Any festival in the Great Lakes Bay region is welcome! Communication could have been better. When they announced the films, mine was called their only student film. I'm not a student. When I followed up about that, I never heard back. Also, I received an email saying my film was an award winner. It wasn't. So, yeah, communication could be better, but there was obvious passion. I wasn't able to attend, so I'll let others speak to hospitality, networking, etc. I predict this will only keep getting better.
