Siro Morcillo is a film director and screenwriter. After many years exercising his professional career as an architect and, after graduating from the University of Alicante, in 2019 he decides to dedicate himself completely to his passion for the world of cinema. In 2022, he obtained the Higher Degree Diploma in Scriptwriting, Film and Television from the Metrópolis c.e film school in Madrid.

The need to tell stories in which space becomes the narrative engine supported by audiovisual language is part of his obsession as a creator.

He has participated in multiple short films, performing the functions of screenwriter, first assistant director and production manager in several of them. He has also been a co-writer, first assistant director and executive producer of the short film “Padre”, which is currently in the post-production phase.

Among other special mentions, Siro Morcillo has obtained in 2021 the Gustavito award from the Metrópolis school for Best Screenplay for the short film “Third Floor”.

In 2022, he premiered his first short film as director and screenwriter, “Allí” (There), obtaining the Gustavito Award for Best Direction
