The Internet has opened up many new opportunities for the microcelebrity economy. For example, live streaming allows followers to communicate with microcelebrities, giving them a chance to talk to them. Taking advantage of this, businesses have begun to seek out famous internet celebrities and have them promote their goods during videos or live streams to achieve advertising results. In China, users with millions of followers often promote products through streaming media and they get a commission from the sale of the products, which has become another opportunity for e-commerce.

On the other hand, fans communities have gradually developed a unique system of their own, in which there are some fanatical followers and their perverse ways of following the microcelebrities are unsettling.

Referring to the definition of the Seven Deadly Sins, we linked the culture of fans communities to the most common "sins" that everyone may have committed, which was the original inspiration and the main content of Sins. We wanted to urge the audience to pay more attention to what celebrities and fans are doing through this short film.
