What a great bunch of passionate guys up in the Sin City! They are really wonderful to me. Even though I've never been able to attend, they have always been INCREDIBLY supportive through all of my films. I am TRULY honored to have a been part and to have won multiple times. This festival really is interested in finding and supporting innovative, independent cinema and outsider artists. Please support these guys!

I attended part of this festival last year with a friend and loved it! This year, I was able to attend for longer and was equally joyed by the experience. Their theater of choice serves a wide variety of food and even has a bar, allowing filmmakers to stay immersed in the experience for their entire stay. They have a great line up and we were even treated to a live burlesque show as part of the presentation for one of the feature films (you had to be there to know why, lol). Anyone looking for a unique horror genre fest with great networking opportunities should add this one to their list!

  • I had a great time screening our short film, The Nightmare Adorable, at Sin City Horror Fest! Incredibly well curated with an emphasis on thoughtful, surprising, and odd takes on the genre. The Q&A sessions were particularly well hosted which is a joy as both a filmmaker and an audience member. All of the little details of the festival (including commemorative bookmarks for each film and shorts block) made it clear the organizers truly loved horror, these films, and delighted in sharing them with an audience. Also met some some great filmmakers and audience members. This festival clearly attracts passionate, thoughtful people.

Quite possibly one of the best horror festival experiences I've had with our run of Jingle Hell. Sin City Horror Fest is no joke and belongs up there with all of the great genre festivals. Communication was superb throughout. From the day you submit to the day you head back from the festival, they are there to answer any questions you have.
These guys are experts at horror and have a great eye at finding great horror for their short and feature blocks. Our time was cut short due to needing to get back to LA, but the short blocks we saw were excellent. Not a dud in the bunch, which is super rare!
If you have an indie horror film and want to screen it at a festival that actually cares about horror and cares about the indie horror filmmaker, you need to submit to Sin City Horror Fest. You will not be disappointed!

Fantastic festival that truly cares about local filmmakers! It was a huge honor to have my first film festival experience be this one. The selection of horror films was so diverse. Thank you for selecting Portrait of Michael Vogler. The team that makes this festival what it is does an amazing job, and I always felt like I could strike up a conversation about horror and film. I can't wait to see this festival continue to grow and I hope I can be apart of that in the future!
