Simulated Fashion
In this film, fashion intertwines with new technologies, arts, and filmmaking to celebrate voices from the Middle East through 360-degree environments. Art Foundation students collaborated with their classmates to produce a virtual reality fashion film, showcasing the Fashion Design Seniors’ collections at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar. Each collection embodies themes of self-discovery and futuristic living, creating a unique and immersive narrative experience.

Time Studio is open only to first-year fine arts and design majors in the School of the Arts at Virginia Common Wealth University in Qatar. Brings together tenets of contemporary practice that have extended the fields of fine art and design. Time-based media such as film, video and sound are included in this mix. The historically underrepresented impulses of theatrically and performance will be explored.
Art foundation department in collaboration with the Fashion Design department, VCUarts Qatar. The students in this course use video as a primary tool, but address larger issues of ephemerality, duration and the possibilities of the moving image. The project "Simulated Fashion" was designed to introduce students to virtual reality storytelling, gain cinematographic and lighting techniques for a 360 environment and work in teams. Plus, the project challenged them to learn about performance and fashion filmmaking.
