Director Biography - Michael Wawzenek

Michael is a Chicago-based filmmaker, programmer, and librarian who holds an MFA in film and video production from the University of Iowa and an MLIS from the University of Illinois. He is the Technical Director at the Gene Siskel Film Center and worked as a projectionist at SIFF, Northwest Film Forum, and FilmScene. He was a co-leader of Vertical Cinema, as well as the Program Director for the 2020 ICDOCS Film Festival.
