Addressing social issues with an ethnographic approach
Dr Simona Palladino is a Lecturer in Social Sciences at Liverpool Hope University.
Simona's research interest includes ageing and migration, place attachment and identity. These were the themes explored during her PhD at Newcastle University. During her ethnographic fieldwork, she conducted participant observation amongst a community of older Italian migrants in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Simona is interested in video ethnography. Her background is in Social Psychology and Cultural and Museum Anthropology. Since 2013, Simona is a Chartered Psychologist, a fellow of the Italian Psychological Society, involved in previous video ethnographic research projects in Molise, Morocco, Portsmouth.
