Simin is a filmmaker, performer, and PhD candidate in Screen Studies, currently a teaching fellow at the University of Melbourne. She has written and directed several short films, including "Leaving" (2019) "Pause" (2023), "Father’s Footsteps" (2023), "Night Walk" (2024), and "Once Was" (2024), "Echoes" (2024). Recently, she received an SSAF grant to organise the 3-Shot Film Festival at the University of Melbourne and curated an exhibition titled "Median In Res" featuring student submissions from the festival at the George Paton Gallery. As a performer, she appeared in Union House Theatre's show "Do Everything Now Before the World Ends" (2023), directed by Xanthe Beesley and Caroline Meaden, "Molly" (2024) by Caroline Meaden, "Invisible Tributes" (2024) by UHT Ensemble.
