Silvia comes from Varese, Italy, in the lakes region of Northern Italy. She holds an MFA in Film writing and producing from the Cattolica University of Milan, and an MFA in Film Directing from the American Film Institute of Los Angeles.
Today she is an artist with a country studio in Tuscany and sells her artwork internationally. She is also an online teacher of Italian and of art courses.
This is her first feature film and it's about her art mentor Joe Blaustein.
In Los Angeles I lived for several years with a little family of animals. In the house with me was Swami, my pet Zebra finch - a baby rescue who then flew out off his nest and my house became his house too.
Swami taught me the language of the heart, and how to paint birds. All my animal paintings were originally inspired by him.
My last name means "Little Roosters" and I love chickens. I hope to be able to raise chickens very soon.
