The Silverlake Picture Show is a free summer outdoor movie experience. Our goal is to screen short films by local LA filmmakers prior to an established, popular feature. We feel this is a great way to garner recognition for talented filmmakers, while providing a gaurenteed audience. The filmmakers have an opportunity to introduce themselves, introduce their work and tell us where we can find more of it.

We're happy to be free to submit to and free to attend.

The SLPS is now heading into its sixth season at the Sunset Triangle. What started as friends showcasing their films and screening their favorite movies has morphed into a popular community event that averages 500-100 plus attendees per show.

Shorts in the past have included 5sec films, award winning short Amos by Taylor Maxwell and the official webseries launch for Sweet Rides USA. This year's features include Cool Runnings, A League of Their Own and Space Jam to name a few. The event has been kept free and open to all by generous support from local sponsors and dedicated audience word of mouth. With write ups in the LA times and LAist we hope we're a tradition in the making.
