Born in Montreal, Line Beaumier graduated at UQAM in Media Arts. She explored various mediums including photography and painting, but film remains her favorite form of expression. dedicating her art to both visible and invisible body injuries, she a produced hers first short film, " Le Manifeste", on a subject still taboo nowadays, the incest. The film was presented at the "Montreal International Women's Festival 2005. In 2014 she produced "Forgotten" is a reminder of the lesbian community history. This short film recalls what many women have experiences from confinement, to punitive rape, murder, and what they are still suffering today in some countries where the abuse continues under the ground that they are lesbians. In 2021 she produced SilentSwing.
