Shuting Jiang is a Chinese filmmaker, born in Guangzhou in southern China. Before studying film production, Shuting spent one year in learning English language and culture for her first bachelor's degree at the University of Qiqihar in northeastern China. In 2014, Shuting started living and studying film production in Sydney, Australia. Since then, Shuting has worked as director, screenwriter, producer, editor, production designer, sound designer in several short films. She learned the basics of screen production at Macquarie University. In 2017, Shuting received a Bachelor of Arts degree in media. Shuting went on to study at Sydney College of the Arts, the University of Sydney, where she earned a Master of Moving Image degree in 2018. At SCA, Shuting wrote and directed her first short film She is not Marie Meursault (2017) and her graduation project Violet (2019).
