Shunnosuke Takahashi, born and raised in Japan, was strongly shocked by watching 2001: a space odyssey by Stanley Kubrick. This experience set his way.
At first, he began to shoot and edit home movies when he was 15. After entering high school, in 2011, he shot and edited a film for school festival. The film got all prizes from the festival, this achievement let him make a film club. Due to this, he could make his first and second directing films which were awarded at a national high school film festival in Japan, 2012. He went to art school and made a few directing short films. All directing films ever made got awards or screenings. He is often praised for stories and beautiful shots. He sometimes worked as a cinematographer , editor or composer for other directors when he attended the school.
He temporarily stopped making films to work as a teacher. Now, he works as a freelance video editor and make a filmmaking team called “minifilm” to gain opportunity for creating new films.
