Started as an Assistant Editor at National Geographic Studio, Gil has worked in film over the last 6 years. Most of the time he works for others as an editor, but sometimes he works for himself. He loves making campy surreal movies. His previous shorts films have screened at a multiple international film festivals. Gil currently lives and works in New York City.
Shroom has been screened at 22nd Maryland Film Festival in 2020.
I've been making a series of short film under the central theme of Karoshi, which means "death from over work". Shroom is the first chapter of the story and it's a dark surreal comedy about a man who is haunted by a mysterious fungi mushroom growing in his home.
