Director Biography - Aurovenkatesh Dop

"Aurovenkatesh is a freelance filmmaker, cinematographer, and videographer based in Auroville, Pondicherry, South India. His actual name is Venkatesa Perumal. After graduating with a degree in Computer Science Engineering from Mailam Engineering College, Anna University, Chennai, he pursued Digital Film Making at the SAE Institute of Film Studies, Chennai.

Aurovenkatesh's interest in filmmaking began many years ago. In 2011, he set up Athvika Media as a video production business. Years later, he found himself working as a freelancer in an industry that he truly loves. Having worked on over 120 documentary-style films for Auroville International community projects as a freelance cinematographer and editor.

Over the last couple of years, Aurovenkatesh has had the privilege of working on some full-length feature films in Kannada and Tamil languages, including Akshadrusha, Attrai Thingal Annilavil, and Panam Ennum Kakidham. He is always on the lookout for new and interesting stories to tell.
