Shout on the Wall: The Poster in Puerto Rico
In SHOUT ON THE WALL (GRITO EN LA PARED), Teresa Tió Fernández explores political poster art in Puerto Rico. Bemba, La Ofensiva, La Serigráfica and Taller Gráfico talk about their motivations and the importance of poster art in national identity. Visits to Mayagüez, Río Piedras and Old San Juan highlight citizen organization and resistance to neoliberal threats. The democratization of poster art and its impact on critical thinking is shown with fly-posting and digital posters.
