The Shortopia Film Festival will take place this winter in Villefranche in the beautiful landscapes of the Beaujolais, France.

We love narrative work and we want this fest to focus on imagination and dreams coming from all the world. The movies will be splited into three categories:
- Very Short Movies
- Short Movies
- Long Movies

All non-French movies submitted should have English of French subtitles.

Awards & Prizes

At the end of the screening, 3 main awards will be given:
- Best Very Short Movie
- Best Short Movie
- Best Long Movie

Additionally, competitions are eligible to those prices:
- Best director
- Best screenplay
- Best actor
- Best actress
- Best child actor/tress
- Best cinematography
- Best sound design
- Best editing
- Best VFX

Rules & Terms

Films completed on or after january 1, 2014 are eligible.
A director can submit more than one film.
All movies submitted should have english of french subtitles.
No runtime limit, just make sure to enter the right category..
Films are selected at the discretion of Shortopia. Shortopia retains the right to make changes to the published schedule at any time and for any reason.
The committee may select films that were not submitted via FilmFreeway, for exemple films shown at other festivals.
Selected films must be made available on H264 or DCP.
