Short Film Insanity

Cheryl Gurewitz-Winkelmann is an aspiring screenwriter/filmmaker from suburban Chicagoland. In 2005, she gained the attention of a new literary agent who signed her on to be her first client. The following year, Cheryl’s romantic comedy “The Newlywed Game” won first place in the Chicago Scriptworks Screenwriting Competition and was later produced as a staged reading at the Chicago Cultural Center. But alas, the timing was not right for a career in film. Cheryl eventually found her home in the education sector working as a school counselor. Writing was put on hold while Cheryl juggled a new career and starting a family. Now that her kids are teenagers and can wipe their own asses (for the most part), she is delighted to announce that she is BACK and this time, there will be no stopping her.
