Everton Melo is a Brazilian filmmaker, cultural journalist, and film critic in Recife, Brazil. In 2021, Everton received his B.F.A degree in Film & Media from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, along with the Nash Parsley Memorial Award for outstanding creative achievement. In the Fall of 2022, Everton participated in the Brooklyn chapter of the Filmshop Fellowship where he workshopped the scripts for his upcoming narrative shorts "Bariloche" and "Expired." Everton is developing his feature debut, "Mototaxi," and is in production with his newest short film "Uncle X and the Mysteries of Me."
