SHOCKFEST is the twelve-year-running premiere film event, which has provided filmmakers an opportunity to frighten audiences during a silver-screen-presentation of their very own films.

We're calling on all STUDENTS, RECENT GRADUATES, and FILMMAKERS to use your ingenuity in creating and filming a short horror movie during the quarantine for the chance for your film to be screened in LAS VEGAS on September 27th. The GRAND PRIZE WINNER will receive their award, the first-annual SHOCKLARSHIP—the scholarship in the form of $666 cash—in HOLLYWOOD on November 13th.

INSTRUCTIONS TO COMPETE

1) Make a project profile on FilmFreeway with the following title:
SHOCKFEST QUARANTINE + (your name or production company)

2) Submit your project profile to the QUARANTINE COMPETITION category on the SHOCKFEST

3) Await further instructions, which will be emailed to all contenders!

REGISTRATION RULES

***SUBMISSION NOTE: No need to upload any videos on your page yet, just follow the FilmFreeway submission requirements to register as though you were submitting a film. You will receive a confirmation email shortly, with dates and requirements for the competition.

Keep an eye on your email you will receive directions and required materials that must be included in your final film.

UPLOADING YOUR FINAL FILM

During the competition, once you have completed your film, you will need to upload it to your project page on FilmFreeway. Once it is uploaded, we will be able to view and judge the film.
