Name: Shiva Mardan Nia
Date of Birth: December 1981
Education: Graphic Design and Cinema
I started my creative journey in 1993 when I took my first acting and playwriting course under the guidance of the Iranian Ministry of Culture. Over the next few years, I directed and wrote several plays, participating in student theater festivals and earning multiple provincial awards.
In the early 2000s, I expanded my skills in screenwriting and directing, completing courses at the Iranian Cinema Institute. Since then, I’ve written over 20 short screenplays and a number of feature-length scripts. I’ve also worked as a writer for the Children’s and Youth departments at the Kermanshah Broadcasting Center and collaborated with national TV networks like IRIB Channels 2 and 3.
Alongside writing, I’ve had the opportunity to act in short films and take on small roles in TV and film productions.
Some of my key projects include directing two short films and writing a 350-page book in screenplay format, which was approved by IRIB Channel 2 for development as a 13-episode TV series.
Most recently, I completed a feature-length psychological drama script titled Ahde Varan, which is officially registered in Iran.
