Director Biography - Lucas Button

Lucas was born and bred in Lancaster and grew up making short films as an adolescent. No budget, just him and a camcorder creating characters to capture on film. After a brief hiatus in which went to London to train as an actor, he has started to make films once more.

'Shin Pads' was simultaneously born out of a desire to express the childlike innocence of dreaming big, and to ask what makes one feel at home in a world that feels wildly chaotic? Although the narrative is simple, the depth of the story comes from Reece's yearning to make his illusive father proud and, ultimately, to believe in his own capability.
