Shayna Jenkins is a documentary filmmaker and photographer currently based in Brooklyn. She received her BA in Comparative Literature and Philosophy of Math and Science from St. John’s College Annapolis. Following her graduation from college, Shayna spent five years backpacking through Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa, photographing and recording the lives around her. She just completed her MA at University College London where she studied Ethnographic and Documentary film, with a focus on Cinematic Documentary Storytelling. Her work focuses on the construction of individual identity within the relationships around which life circles.
