Lens-less caustic cross-polarized light, projecting a kaleidoscope of mesmerizing color onto an image sensor -do I have your attention now?
Shawn Knol is a California-based visual artist specializing in hyper colorful abstract imagery. Using techniques normally reserved for materials science, Shawn creates explosively colorful scenes, that give way to familiar textures from everyday life. His clients/partners include: Adult Swim's “Off the Air", hitRECord TV (Emmy Award-winning episode), Samsung, Audi, Subaru, BASF, and Discovery Place Science Museum.
For inspiration, Shawn uses his knowledge gained from working in Aerospace/Prototype circuit board manufacturing, where he worked on projects such as: NASA's Perseverance Mars Rover, Google's Quantum Computer AI Research Lab (Santa Barbara), and META's Oculus Rift.
