Competition Viewing
"Best of Competition" | "Best Director"
Jackson Schlekewey is an American Director & Actor based in Los Angeles, CA. His studies include method acting and screen writing at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Los Angeles, as well as improv at Upright Citizens Brigade.
He has worked in a number of productions doing every job on set, but finally took the leap to directing with the short film Shave Me From Myself.
This film was an absolute blast to make. As a first time filmmaker, I wanted to have a great showing to start my career. Originally created for a 3x5 competition, we shot and edited the final product in 48 hrs. My lovely crew came together to help me take it to heights that I could have never done on my own. Everyone involved was so talented and the fact we were recognized with "Best of Competition" and "Best Director" at our initial competition the film was created for, makes all of us so proud of the work we have put forth. We are excited to share it with you all!
Hope you enjoy!
