Sharon Wilharm never intended to be a filmmaker. Growing up, she was much more interested in books than movies. Then she married a businessman with a degree in broadcast communications, and before she knew what was happening, she was writing, directing, and starring in a feature film. Since that time Sharon has written and directed six more feature films (she decided she was much more at home behind the camera than in front of it) with her filmmaking husband handling the camera work and editing.
The Wilharms distinguished themselves by producing two silent features, one of which was included in the AMC Independent lineup and screened at select AMC theaters including AMC Empire at Times Square.
Sharon has two film related blogs and is a popular speaker at film events.
