Richard Goblin is a NYC-based artist who has made work across the spectrum of the visual arts. He has shown paintings in a variety of DIY shows of the 2010s that ranged in quality from Bushwick basement to Bushwick bar, and has produced burlesque shows at such illustrious venues as Bizarre Bar (since condemned) and The Producer’s Club on W44th St (across the street from the Times Square Men’s Spa). His TV credits include “Club Patron #23” on an episode of Law & Order, and “Hipster at the Rave #10” on Mr. Robot. Long in the shadows of the low-budget ingenue film world, “The Sauce” is his first movie as a writer and director. In front of the mirror recently, Richard said, “Like many of my generation, I know what it is to be lost in the sauce, and I wanted to portray that pain with a tangy punch, like a rich Béarnaise. But I also wanted the message to be sweet, like a Beurre Rouge, and not too sour or sticky for the taste of the average moviegoer.”
