SERVITUDE is a four-cornered film that revolves around the lives of four individuals struggling with their own personal battles.
LILA (Aprillyn Nocon) is a thirteen-year-old girl who is trapped inside her four-walled nightmare. Having to deal with her aunt’s constant insults, her older cousin’s bullying and her uncle’s apathy, she is left with no choice but to escape her hellish life by any means necessary.
GELO (Vas Palacay) is a young call center agent, fond of having casual figs with the help of on-line dating sites. Little did he know, he is about to realize how gruesome and cutthroat cyber-dating really is.
AL is a young, successful businessman with a bright future who is having his usual drinking session with his best buddy JON (Rush Ryan), a happy-go-lucky loser bumming on his friend. During their mini suaré, JON confesses a dark secret to AL that will launch a series of events that may lead to their demise.
JINKY (Jann Aguilar) is a movie and television stylist who has always been a loner and a survivor. A recent tragedy struck her life with the unfortunate passing of her boyfriend. And while she still grieves, a new dilemma arises. She will have difficult choices to make.
Inspired by true events, SERVITUDE offers a different perspective on how both LIFE and DEATH are ironically affected by TECHNOLOGY. SERVITUDE is a timely film that exhibits abuse, stereotyping, and cyber-crimes. It forces us to look at our culture and how current technology is abused for selfish and cruel reasons. It exposes how these new tools have the potential to ruin our lives. In an ever-changing world, SERVITUDE shows how vicious we all can be.
