Serge Zehnder, born and raised in Zurich, discovered his love for film early on. At age 13 he participated in various short-film projects during the school holidays.
At 14 he began writing his first screenplay. Three years later he wrote and directed a school play and in the same year (1994) began his work as a film critic.
Over the last twenty years he has directed several clips and short-film projects. He also worked for the Internet Movie Database and as a reader for a film production company.
Beyond the world of film he traveled and lived in Australia, Morocco and France. During this time he worked as a surf instructor, IT-technician and barkeeper.
In 2016 he was accepted as a screenwriter into the Master's program at the Zurich University of the Arts, which he completed in 2019 with the feature film script „Spuren" („Tracks“).
