Şenay Ertorun is a director born in Istanbul. After graduating from Maltepe University’s Visual Communication Design Department in 2003, she began her artistic journey with the documentary film "Ufacık Tefecik Gördün De...", which she directed in the same year. Since 2009, she has worked on numerous documentary and short film projects and completed internships at TRT, Flash TV, and Sinevizyon Production Company.
She later took on roles as the Assistant Museum Director at Fenerbahçe Sports Club and the archive manager at FB TV. Additionally, she worked as a camerawoman for the Sesler Hazinesi Orchestra and Choir, founded by Istanbul State Opera and Ballet artist Niyazi Ölmez.
In addition to short films and experimental works, she has also produced music videos, commercials, promotional films, and event recordings. In February 2023, she published her first book, "Saniyeler".
Having attended Zeynep Atakan’s YapımLab training programs, Şenay Ertorun continuously strives to improve herself. She aims to adapt "Saniyeler", inspired by the aftermath of an earthquake and depicting people’s struggles through the eyes of a female journalist, into a feature-length film.
