Aleksandra is an award-winning writer/director. She graduated from European Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts in France and is a NFTS Directing Series alumni. Her directing credits include the feature film 'Dolls Can't Cry' (starring BIFA awarded actress Lara Belmont) along with a series of award-winning shorts that have been screened at over 150 film festivals worldwide.
Recent shorts include 'Humans', screened at Aesthetica, and 'Remind Me Yesterday', screened at Raindance and the In the Palace Short Film Festival in Bulgaria. ‘Last Day of Summer’, won the Young Artist Academy Awards in Los Angeles for Best Performance and the Afrodite Award for Best International Short in Rome. ‘My Friend Ivor’, won the Unchosen Best Modern Slavery Film Award and Brothers was a finalist at the Sundance London Short Film Competition.
'Mother', her feature in development, received development funding from the Polish Film Institute and was shortlisted for the Sundance Script Lab and a finalist in the Script Pro competition. Her TV Series 'Breathe' was selected for the Torino Film Lab.
Alongside this, Aleksandra has background as a VFX Artist and Supervisor on high-end TV drama series for Netflix, HBO, Amazon and BBC, SKY. She was awarded an Emmy for Outstanding Graphic Design on a David Attenborough TV series. She directed Splinter Unit on BBC TV series ‘Dope Girls’ and 2nd Unit on the Amazon series ‘Alex Rider’.
