Director Biography - Gideon Buchleiter

19 years old at the time of filming, Gideon Buchleiter has a hunger for creating compelling stories and optimizing the cost-to-quality ratio on set. Owner of Concrete Lemon Studio, a fledgling film production company with a goal of enabling low-budget filmmakers to draw on a large creative and professional crew to tell their stories the way they want.

Gideon was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and spent his teen years in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where he attended a performing arts high school with a focus on classical piano, jazz piano, and composition.

He is currently a film student at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington, and dreams of making a lasting impact on the indie film community.

Director Statement

I wanted to tell a story that people could connect with and show the raw power of a desire for human connection. After spending so long in isolation from one another, I think that being happy to have someone with you is something that everyone can relate to.
