I will attempt to create a giant self-portrait from 1,000 lipstick kisses in 24 hours, while tracing the history of love and art across the city...before destroying it.

Director Biography - Robert Corcoran

My name is Rob, I'm a filmmaker from Wrexham, Wales. I like to make crazy, ambitious art projects and share them with the world through fun and engaging films.

I'm always looking for new and interesting ways to express myself, or share something unique about the world we live in.

I've watched the same film 100 times in a row, painted a giant self-portrait with kisses, built my own gameshow and even traced my family history through Irish pubs.

Director Statement

This project was deeply personal to me. I had the idea during a low period. I wanted to make something really difficult, in an intimate way, then destroy it. I wondered if it would feel satisfying to have that control, or sad knowing it will all be for nothing.

To be honest with you, I’m super interested to see how other people interpret it and this is why I'm excited to share it with your festival.

Creating a giant painting from kisses, while staying awake all night, while also tracing the history of love and art in Berlin was not easy! But I think we did a great job and I really hope you enjoy the final film.
