Previously, he worked as a graphic designer and photojournalist in a print publishing house. Since 2012, he has been starting fruitful work (video shooting and editing) with the artist Askhat Akhmedyarov (performance and art video). From 2012 to 2017, he filmed increasing civil protests in Kazakhstan. After some publications on YouTube, arrests and interrogations of the participants and the author himself followed. Since 2017, he has been shooting with film director Yerbol Zhumagulov, with whom he began making documentaries. He also works as a cameraman and editor with director Rayhan Rahim, with whom he has made three documentaries. In 2020, he is shooting an international documentary film Segiz, where he is the director of the film. In the same year, he makes an environmental film RIVER (dir: Sanat Urnaliev) for Radio Liberty. After the release of the film, he continues to cooperate with the editorial office of Radio Liberty and makes a second film for them, Qyzdar (dir: Sanat Urnaliyev)
