In 2012, shortly after the release of his first feature film David took a break from filmmaking to focus on family and self while managing a Rock Soul artist named JaE the Artist. He has directed and edited public service announcements for the University of SC Greek fraternity and sorority associations focusing on the issue of Date Rape on university campuses. He has also produced several corporate videos for the University of Penn, Friends of the Aging organization, Comcast, Johnson & Johnson, Chubb Insurance Co, as well as, other national corporations. David received his formal education at Johnson C. Smith University and the University of South Carolina with a focus on Film & Television Production with a minor in Photography. His stories embody life, people, struggles and real experiences. David has always compared filmmaking to playing God; “I get to create people who otherwise would not exist, places one may have never seen along with situations that only I know and can determine the outcome of and that’s pretty powerful. Filmmaking is a huge responsibility!”

I enjoy the creativity and the work involved in making a film come to life. I was fortunate to have a great cast and crew and I especially thank Alisa Joe for taking time from her tour schedule in order to be a major part of this film.
