Director Biography - Sophia Bianchi

Sophia Bianchi is an American Filmmaker from Brisrow, Virginia. She is currently attending The University of Tampa pursuing a B.A. in Film and Media Arts. She is a first-time filmmaker, but has a great passion for it. Much of her work is shot with minimal equipment and only an iPhone as a camera, but feels very successful in her final products. This holds great value to her because it shows that one doesn't need the newest and fanciest technology to create something to be proud of.

Director Statement

For "Seeing Red", I wanted to make an audience feel emotion with no dialogue and little sound. I added this soundtrack lightly in the background of the film to give off a creepy and mysterious vibe. I kept every shot very clean and clear because I didn't want you to feel terror, I wanted you to feel uneasy and I think that with the lightness it was more successful than the normality of associating terror with darkness.
