This is the seventh short Film Festival for Anglesey and we are welcoming films from anywhere in the world. We would obviously like to understand your film, so please subtitle them if they are not in English.
All that we require is that you mention the "Sea" via dialogue or visually, with a timecode reference to where you feature "the Sea" or we cannot accept your entry.

We will NOT watch your film if you do not mark the TIMECODE where you mention the "SEA" in your SYNOPSIS. Please.

Judges yet to be confirmed (normally industry folks) will choose the finalists of each category at the public screening in the cinema on the 23rd October, then have another screening of the winners, on Sunday 24 October 2021. We might have a networking event on the evening of the 23rd depending on numbers and availability of Judges and entrants.

Anglesey is an Island off the coast of Wales and Holyhead is part of Holy Island an island off Anglesey. The Ucheldre centre is the Arts centre here on the Holy Isle and the cinema for the event is here. Ucheldre is A Welsh language word for Higher Town which is where the arts centre is based. It is in an area of outstanding beauty and the venue itself is also a beautiful building and well worth a visit.

We have loved connecting with other sea lovers and filmmakers since 2014 and we look forward to seeing your films this year.

Safe sailing, love from Angharad Parry - Festival Director.
'Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover' - Mark Twain

  • Perseverance and professionalism are the two words that immediately come to mind when evaluating this film festival. 2020 has been a tough year for all festivals, but despite the challenges of the pandemic, and other challenges, the festival was successfully held this year. I also think that in an age when many festivals are bland and uninspiring, it is great to have a festival that focuses on such a fun concept: combining the love of film with the love of the sea! Very honored to have been selected to participate this year!

Very friendly team that clearly care about film and more importantly it’s filmmakers. So pleased to have been apart of the festival. Despite Covid the festival went ahead both online and live for those who couldn’t make it which was great! Highly recommend the festival you won’t be disappointed.

I love the sea and was very happy to discover the SeeMor Short Film Festival on FilmFreeway. Unfortunately I was not able to attend the festival, but the programme seemed quite varied, and I wish I would be able to attend in the future. Thank you very much for selecting my film as the winner for the Video Art category! I wish the festival team all the best.
